How does my iPhone and iPad communicate with my apple tv?

Using the remote app with turned on vqlan and device isolation. My Apple TV is in a separate group from my iPad and iPhone. They are both on different WiFi networks I created within the Firewalla app. Despite these configurations, both my iPhone and iPad can still control my Apple TV via the remote app. In device logs, I do see an attempt to connect was made but it was apparently blocked. So I’m assuming it’s just Bluetooth?

  Bluetooth or via the Cloud, both can happen. You can double check and see if there are any traffic between these devices.
