From Simple mode (with Edgerouter X) to bridge mode (with Unifi Gateway Lite)
Hello,
My network head (after my box) is currently a Ubiquiti Edgerouter X, with:
1) a Cloudkey Gen2+ managing a Unifi network;
2) a Firewalla Purple SE in Simple mode.
What happens if I change the network head to a Unifi Gateway Lite (UXG Lite), with the Purple -- in bridge mode -- between it and the rest of the Unifi network ?
1) will it work (will the Cloudkey see Gateway Lite);
2 will I have to re-enter all the Purple's configuration ? (I understand that the static addresses defined by the Edgerouter will be lost).

2. Should work, you just need to change the mode. In bridge mode, you really don't need to change edge router's configuration ..

So, for point 1, I have to hope and test.
As for point 2, the Edgerouter will be replaced by the Gateway Lite, so it is out of the equation; I will have to re-enter the static addresses in the Gateway Lite.
My question related to the Firewalla Purple configuration: will its rules be kept ? If not, this would be a case for allowing clear-text external backup, at least for reference in re-configuration.
