Initial SEtup for Purple to support VPN

I have Starlink for my ISP, and I use an Eero 7 for wireless and wired support of my home network. The home network has 4 or 5 computers, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, and a number of other internet devices.

I bought the Firewalla purple to provide support for VPN, and will use OpenVPN or NordVPN or similar. I tried placing it between the Starlink modem and the Eero, but that did not seem to work. I placed it downstream of my Eero and that did not work either. The Firewalla is in Bridge mode; I don't need ti to do other things.

So, how should I set things up?
