    Your problem is unlikely to be related to DoH or even DNS. check your wifi or network connections, likely something is congested.

    Download 573.11 Mbps
    Upload 513.10 Mbps
    Ping 13.40 ms
    Jitter 188.04 ms

    That's a lot of jitter; from a wired device too!
    I tried from a wireless device with similar numbers except jitter was only 17 ms.

    Upload 709.45 Mbps
    Ping 12.20 ms
    Jitter 1.72 ms

    Previous:

    Modem --> Firewalla 2.5g --> 2.5g Router 2.5g --> device

    (Router is set as a WAP, but has physical ports)

    Current:

    Modem --> Firewalla 1g --> Device

    So your latency and gaming issue is due to the "Router"?

    Possibly, I want to try it when I play again to see if the issue is resolved.  Thanks for the help thus far.

    Unfortunately, the problem persists.  Game disconnects and shows poor connection.

    The device being played from shows the following from the HTML5 speed test previously provided:

    Download 575.05 Mbps
    Upload 763.56 Mbps
    Ping 17.41 ms
    Jitter 4.76 ms

    are you playing via WiFi or ethernet?

    The problem is very likely your WAN rather than LAN.

    Ethernet.

    The problem does not occur if I play:

    Modem --> Router --> Device

    Current connection is:

    Modem --> Firewalla --> Device

    This suggests it's the Firewalla.  Are there any configuration changes I can make to help this?

    I just tested a few games.

    Modem --> Router --> Device plays with no issues

    Modem --> Firewalla --> Device results in disconnections
