Firewalla fails to update device name

I am using the Firewalla web interface to rename some devices since they have bad names by dafault.  About 1 in 4 devices fails with "Failed to update device name".  Why would this happen?  Isn't this just an internal configuration?

  are you using the MSP or the my.firewalla.com? can you paste the error message here? (screenshot)
