Firewalla VLAN with Asus Guest Network Pro
I have connected my Asus AXE-16000 router as an access point to Firewalla Gold Pro (router). Both are connected using the 10Gbps LAN port 1 on Firewalla to one of the 10Gbps LAN port on Asus router. Then, I created a new VLAN network on Firewalla using LAN port 2 with VLAN ID 50 and IP 192.168.50.1. Then, I connected it to LAN port 1 on the Asus router. In my Asus router, I have already created a new profile to add VLAN for the guest WiFi and assigned it VLAN ID 50. Also, I selected LAN port 1 and assigned it the guest WiFi (SDN VLAN Profile). I'm able to connect using the guest network if I select mode as 'Trunk' on Asus's LAN port 1. Things stop working when I select 'Access' as the mode. I have a dedicated ethernet cable going from Firewalla to Asus for the guest WiFi. So, it should work if I setup LAN port 1 in Asus as access port. However, it only works when I set the port as trunk. Any idea what is going wrong here?
