AP7 Switch Question/Sanity Check

Hello,

Wanted to check the following in my topology below.

1. If I have 2 AP7s connected to a unmanaged switch will the AP7 features, such as Segmentation and Microsegmentation etc, still work?
2. or do I need a managed switch?

Based on my research, the unmanaged switch should be able to work without issues for Segmentation and Microsegmentation etc but wanted to confirm.

  Yes, it will work. You will have no issue with microsgmentation (VqLAN) and segmentation (VLAN). The only thing you need to make sure is, the switches you bought is a true dumb switch, we have seen a few no-brand units on amazon that uses managed ASIC on their version of "dumb" switch, and not able to pass VLAN traffic.

  Thanks for confirming, would this switch https://www.mokerlink.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=563 be one that has a managed ASIC on a "dumb" switch?

  Sorry, I have no idea. You can get it, and if you see VLAN not getting pass through, you need a different unit
