Setup Routing Question (Gold SE)
We have a modem that hands-off in bridge mode to a router. That router also has Wi-Fi and connects with mesh access points throughout the house, controlled by the ASUS router. Can the Gold SE be dropped after the modem in bridge mode before the router and have it operate correctly? (if not the main router will be handing out unfiltered wireless access) Also, can you access the Gold Se interface in this configuration from the local network by assigning a local address to the device during setup and then excluding its assignment by DHCP in the router?

You have two options, one is to use your firewalla as your main router, this is what we recommend, see https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/4411167832851-Firewalla-Router-Mode-Configuration-Guides
And the other is bridge mode, still works, but may not have all the features, see https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500012304202-Firewalla-Transparent-Bridge-Mode
In your case, I do suggest router mode, unless you can't replace your existing router
