Devices auto-moved between groups (beta mode - box 1.980, app 1.64, testing AP7 as well)
Prior to eneabling beta mode, my devices stayed within the defined groups and had no issues. Post enabling beta mode they seem to be automatically moved to the most populated group of the three in use.
This only happens on the one network I have that contains multiple groups... "IoT", "Cameras" and "Entertainment". The devices I have in both the IoT and Entertainment group have moved themselves into the IoT group. Even if I manually put them back to their original group, they move again within a short time (hours?). Devices that are not powered on stay in their respective group... but will also move if powered on and after a short time. The issue seems to be only with powered up end devices.
This is odd and somewhat problematic because I have specific rules applied to those groups and when the devices auto-move, the destination group (IoT) applies its new rules of course and impact use/security.
All the devices are also wireless and using the new AP7 access points I have (with those networks/SSIDs advertised). I can't say it correlates with the AP or not, as I'm unable to physically wire them up to test.

If I understand your concern correctly, then you must have an IoT SSID that has a group (IoT) assigned to it. I have the same. Any device that is connecting to this SSID will be moved into the IoT group. This even includes your phone when pairing a new IoT device. Any old group that the device was in before is now overridden with the IoT group once connected to the IoT SSID. This is by design.

Cismet, almost fell into the same trap. Looked at the User/Group setting in the SSID and almost tuned it on till i read the fine-print indicating that it would auto-move devices on that SSID to that group. I've got a couple of groups that utilize that particular SSID like IOT things, cameras, stream TV boxes etc. and pressed the brakes. Also concerned that setting that might override Quarantine for new devices (didn't experiment to test that tho)
