AP7 after 2 days
Just wanted to point say that I thoroughly enjoyed the easy setup of the AP7 the initial updates took longer than getting a functional configuration going.
I will continue to migrate more devices over time but felt comfortable enough in the first 20 minutes of use to transfer all my IOT devices to the AP7.
There are two initial things I noted
When I plug my unlink into the 10gb port my 1gb switch registers it as a 1gbps link but the AP7 only sees it as a 100mb. This is only the case on one of my AP7 units not both. By plugging it into the 2.5gbps there was no issue.
Is there any way to change the LED brightness of the face of the AP7? I cannot find it anywhere.
I am very impressed this far with the integration into the FWG and setup.

Thank you for the feedback, I have forwarded to our team
1. What is the brand/model of your gigabit switch? is it a fairly old one? When AP7 registers 100mbit, does your switch also register 100mbit?
2. There is no LED brightness control; likely we will build the dimming/off function via the app in a later release. (I assume this is not a critical issue)

It's a tplink TL-SG108E.
The switch sees the connection as 1gb no matter which port it is connected to on the AP7 but the AP7 only sees it as 1gb on the 2.5 port. Also note I have 2 AP7s connected to the same switch 1 has this issue the other does not.Neither of these are critical for my needs but just want to pass along the information. Love the product so far.

If you're using a gigabit switch, then your AP7 will also detect a 1Gbps connection regardless whether you plug it to the 2.5G or 10G interface. But if you are getting only 100Mbps when connected to the 10Gbps port, try to manually set your switch interface to 1000Mbps/full duplex.

It’s probably the tplink not negotiating with the 10gig properly. You can try to set it manually but sometimes having it set manually can also cause similar issues. I’m not sure if your switch has a firmware upgrade. If it does you can try that. You could also try a new quality grade cat5e or cat6 cable.
