There are two blocks, to the internet and from the internet, both need to be on for the internet to be blocked.

If the above rules already there, try to manually block the internet and see if it works or not.

From the home page of the Firewalls app I see the Quarantine group.  The Internet icon is blue and is labeled Internet Block On.  When I drill down into the Quarantine group and then tap Rules, the page shows under Block the label Traffic from & to Internet.  Below that it says Quarantine and Always.

In spite of all that, the iPad continues to access the Internet.

I cleared cache for Safari to be sure I was not seeing cached pages.  I verified that the MAC address shown in the Firewalla app for the iPad is the same as on the iPad.  In case it matters, the gateway is Netgear CG3000Dv2.  The Firewalla mode is Simple.

I don't know what it means to "manually block the internet".

    Further thoughts?

Tap on device ->[find the ipad]->then tap on the internet button to block the device, if that doesn't work, you have a issue with simple mode, we need to look at that.

Also, tap on "monitoring button", then see if ipv6 is on or not, if it is not, turn it on

The internet button for the device was already turned on, presumably by virtue of being in quarantine.

I will not be posting here any further. I have been having two other problems with the firewall, and it is no longer worth my time and the disruption on the gateway to pursue resolutions.

The issue is likely related to ipv6 or CG3000 compatibility.
