Which log file has info about losing internet connectivity?

I have firewire gold and I know how to ssh into the box. Now, which log file should I be checking on to see when I lose/recover internet connectivity from my ISP?

  That function will come in 1.972, which we will provide an interface to display the historical up/down/connectivity/[and may be a few other things]

  1.972 requires version 1.44 for the iOS app? I have signed up for beta for both. Is there a rough ETA on beta availability?
