Install a Gold with Google fiber router
We just got a Gold and I've tried to install it using our installed and working Google Fiber router.
I can't get it to work.
I set the ISP address as 192.168.1.4 and the gateway as the router's address 192.168.1.100.
Then I set up a LAN trying to use the .1.4 address.. it doesn't work.
The I tried the LAN using a .2.4 address.... still nothing.
Then I let the Firewalla gold make it's own address... still not working.
Each time, it gets an address .. I just can't get the computer to talk through it and see the world. The only thing that can see it is my phone through bluetooth.
What am I not getting?
I have a google fiber router that gets its public IP from google and the internet IPs are 192.168.1.x
I want to install the Gold Firewalla to control the internal traffic and send it to the google router. Not "replace" the google router or change the google router other than turning off DHCP on it..
What am I missing? Is there a written "how to" for the google router and is there a video of the same thing?
Please help
