Ports showing as closed on WAN Interface

Hello,

I was performing some NMAP scans of the WAN Interface on my Firewalla Gold and I noticed that one of the DHCP ports was showing as closed, port 68 to be specific.  Port 1194 showed as closed which didn't surprise me where I do have the OpenVPN server enabled but I was surprised to see the entry for port 68.

I don't recall seeing this back during the last scan I performed when I saw that NTP port 123 was open which I am happy to report is no longer the case.

I wanted to bring this up because ideally I would want this port to show up as filtered even if it is closed.  Port 67 doesn't show up only port 68.

My Firewalla is set to block all inbound traffic from the Internet according to my firewall rules list.

  I like to use ShieldsUp for an External Scan.

  Check that out. You can also google ShieldsUp by GRC. Every port it says is open, is open. So far, my Firewalla is doing a great job. The ports I've opened are the only ones that show up.

  Shielding on port 68 will be fixed in 1.972. 

  1194 can't be shielded if you run OpenVPN in tcp mode and don't apply rules to block it.

  Thanks for the suggestion.  I have been using shields up for a very long time... I won’t say how long though ;).
