Blocking Youtube.com disables Google Home smart controls

I am blocking Youtube.com as a domain only rule. The issue I am having is that this also seems to prevent my Google Home from performing some of it's smart home features such as turning on and off Lutron lights, etc... How can I resolve this?

  try blocking googlevideos.com
