Would love to see this. Not that ipv6 is needed for anything right now but I like to be able to have it to satisfy may geekiness. Also, the cheap router that came with my centurylink install can do it just fine.

This is a show stopper for me. DHCP reservations and 6rd border relay settings are required for my LAN and I've been using IPv6 from home since all we had were tunneling protocols available. Is there a feature request process? I'm new to the platform and the Purple box appears to meet my throughput requirements but few of the other technical details I've become accustomed to using a pfSense platform for years.

I just found out about this missing feature and it is a show stopper for me as well. I need to setup 6RD with my ISP (Wingo Switzerland) and configure several details (Gateway, Prefix, Mask length, MTU size).

As long as this is not implemented, I'm unable to use my Firewalla Purple in Router mode 🥺. Is this feature on the roadmap?

Hey there, I‘m still very dependent on this feature. No chance to implement it?

Still looking for this feature. Would really love to be able to use ipv6 on my FWG in router mode but CL still only does 6rd over here and likely for the coming years

Another vote for 6rd from a CenturyLink customer.

And another one from a CenturyLink customer.

I've got a tmobile wireless link as the backup.

    ipv4 only on ISP1
    ipv6 + CGNAT on ISP2

Would love to have 6rd for ISP1, and then also get v6 NPT so I can do inbound port forward on v6 that work when it fails over to ISP2

I get email notifications for this thread. I just opened this page after jdh212 posted, and see that my initial comment was **three years ago**.

All, a couple weeks ago I switched to OPNsense on a fanless 6x2.5gbe mini PC that sells for about half the price of the fancy new Firewalla, and less than I paid for my original Gold.

You know what? It supported 6rd immediately.

I really, really wanted to support Firewalla, and held on as long as I could, but just like Unifi, they are resting on their laurels, and I simply couldn't wait any longer.

It'll be good to unsubscribe from the notifications on this thread. I hope the Firewalla crew sees this and realizes they had a prime candidate for someone who would be a lifelong customer and upgrader, and instead they just sat on their hands and watched that enthusiastic customer walk out the door.

I was able to get 6rd working on the command line on CL using the very simple scripts here: https://www.jasondavis.net/2020/10/03/CenturyLink-IPv6-6rd.html (change the lan0 interface to pppoe0) and after installing ipv6calc. Can ping ipv6 addresses on the firewalla command line after getting that running but can't get firewalla to do anything more than that with it. So no ipv6 yet for me (grr). So everything is there to get this working if only Firewalla would implement it ;-)
