Maybe a "pi-hole" check box so firewalla knows it has a local dns server.  Then once checked, do we redirect all, https, tls dns requests, and do we have a public dns server address list that will redirect "hardcoded" traffic back to pihole.  Just kind of spit-balling here.  I was hoping other might have some idea's as well.

Also if the firewalla boxes for integration are "checked" what needs to be set/configured in pi hole so both compliment each other in the most efficient/effective way.

Can we convert these rules for firewalla, especially pulling down the public DNS list.

I had not dug in too deeply and before I did asking here was my first thought.  Pi-Hole integration and Firewalla has a fair amount of documentation but not so much for more advanced integration that I have found.  I opt'd to run pihole on a freenas VM and it is working great, I'd just like to see some more in depth integration with firewalla and the dns settings to get the most out of both.

@Lance, what kind of integration are you thinking about?  As long as we don't have to touch the pi-hole code, we are pretty open on feature requests.  We strongly believe in integration and layered security, so we are open.
