differentiation between data usage and bandwidth usage?
New user with a Gold unit... coming from using a Cisco/Meraki security device. With Firewalla, I am confused by the the concept of bandwidth monitoring compared to how Cisco has presented this to me in the past...
The Firewalla seems very good at presenting my data usage but what I am looking for is bandwidth monitoring... that is, how fast/slow are my data flows per devices. Ideally, I'd like to be able to see a table of the top data and bandwidth clients for the past hour (my.firewalla.com shows this for the past 24 hours only and really this is data usage, not bandwidth usage). And I'm really looking for bandwidth usage (how fast a client is pulling down data), not just how much data the client is pulling down (data usage) for the past hour.
Great product here. Looking forward to future development.

It depends on the resolution.
We have three graphs, data/hour, data/min, data/day. (the other dimension is netflow)
I assume you want data/second, which when multiplied by 8 is the bit rate. This is possible in our system and may require a bit of work to extract. The reason is, the foundational data structures are all flow-based, having a finer resolution may eat a bit more memory.
What is your primary use case for looking at the bit rate?
