Explanation of the different modes (FWG)?

So, I am going to be running my FWG as my router with Eeros in bridge mode essentially as wifi access points. So I think I know that I'll be running it in "Router mode" as recommended.

But there are a couple of other "modes" that I just want to understand, mostly for my own edification. Is there some place that explains it for me?
