Many thanks @firewalla !!! The reason I even ask is that I have 300/300 fiber and have been seeing speeds maxing out around 100. So my assumption is that something somewhere is negotiating at 100 rather than 1000. But I have no way to know for sure. My Gigabit POE switch doesnt have LEDs that change colors based on speed either. And I only get a single ethernet drop to my smart panel cabinet in my house. The actual fiber modem is outside in an ISP locked cabinet.

It would just be nice to see on the GUI what each port is negotiating at. Thanks again! Hope this makes it into an update soon. :)

It makes good sense.  We will ask our developers to get this in ASAP.

As of ethernet negotiations, make sure you check these

    • if you have an older cable, make sure it is CAT5e or better.  And not all cables are created equal
    • make sure the physical connection is good ... some ethernet cable connectors are terrible.

Mine has a Solid Orange (which I assume is just the connection) and a blinking yellow (activity) light. My switch says that the connection is gigabit.

I ended up reaching out to my ISP and they said I was at 100. Where @James Willhoite said that the light was Orange, mine was green. So I assume that Green = 10/100 and Orange = 1000. Still, I did not see that anywhere in documentation or in the GUI.

Anyways, I ended up getting my crimpers out and just crimping down on the existing RJ45 and when I plugged back in, I was at 1000 and the light was orange. Seems like speeds are better.

So it seems like @firewalla might put this into a build soon. So it might help someone else out in the same situation or to help diagnose speed issues.

Already kicking around to make sure we have this capability in the near future for sure.  Thank you @Matthew for bringing this up.
