Firewalla Gold and Ubiquiti Edgerouter X
-
Any particular reason you want to still use edgerouter? The gold is both a firewall and a router, so most of the time, you can just replace the edgerouter.
The Gold can't do transparent bridging, so putting it in between, will make the Gold as your first router and the edge router as your second router.

Currently the edgerouter is handling static IP on the network. Done by MAC address. It is also integrated with other Ubiquiti equipment including POE to power several switches and APs. not sure that I can take it out. I was hoping that maybe someone here has run into the same issue with needing to keep the edgerouter and still getting the Firewalla to work. I am thinking that maybe the edge need to be placed into a bridge mode or something similar. I have a decent amount or expenance with this but this is getting a little outside of that knowledge now.

I just switched out a Ubiquiti USG (same company) and so far am really impressed with using the Gold as a router. Is your Power over Ethernet coming from the Edge Router or a switch? It looks like it only has one PoE port?
My old Ubiquiti switch was providing PoE to my APs, but I swapped out for a switch that doesn't do PoE. Fortunately my Access Points came with PoE injectors, so I've plugged them into power and can still power the remote access points.
