IFTOP/Real time traffic view supported?

    iftop should work nicely.   The only problem is the apt install will be removed after a reboot.   To persist you should be able to put the install apt script in the hooks after reboot. (1.971)

    Thanks for the quick response! I'll have to wait until 1.971 goes to full beta! Any idea how long that would be?

    No idea at the moment.   Next is going to beta, the production.  

    Also, since apt installs do not persist, you can just install it on the Gold ... anything goes bad, you just need to reboot it to restore to the original state.

    I was just searching for this.  It would be great to add vnStat, iftop, or something like that.  There are times I need to monitor traffic in real-time and it would great to do this from the command line to cut down on the overhead.

    you can install these on the gold, they should work.  Even on the red/blue/blue+, it should also work and pickup all the traffic on your network.

    sudo su

    sudo apt-get install iftop
