Not seeing home devices via VPN Server - Windows

Hi folks,

I've been running the VPN server on the Firewalla Gold for a few days now, and on my Andriod devices its working great, I can remotely (from outside the home network) access my home devices, file servers and smart devices etc.

However, using the same OpenVPN profile and settings on my Surface (running Windows) I can not access any of my home devices... It's strange as I do still have access to the internet, and if I check my IP (www.myip.com) it matches the IP of my Firewalla Gold.

Could somebody please help point me in the right direction to get me talking to my home devices?

  Check the network settings of the vpn on the Surface while connected. What is the dns server setting? Can you access your LAN devices by IP address from the Surface over vpn?

  I'm not sure how to check the DNS server setting in OpenVPN.
  
  I can indeed access some devices web GUIs via IP in my web browser, but I cannot access file folders via File Explorer.
  
  I'm assuming this is a widows setting somewhere instead of a Firewalla thing?

  Turns out, I had to "Remap" the folders i want access to.

  I hope I don't need to do this every time I leave the house...
