Not seeing discrete device names connecting to eero Guest network

Did you ever get this resolved? I have the same issue, where guest network devices are not showing up in Firewalla. From what I can tell the AP is giving out its own IP addresses on the guest network, but I would suspect Firewalla would still be able to see this traffic by MAC address? Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to disable DHCP on the guest network but I suspect I might have to factory reset it (Amplifi Alien).

@Ryan - I haven't paid attention to this issue in a while, but I'm pretty sure I still don't see Guest Network devices.

Eero guest network is a "hidden" (or NATed) network inside the eero main unit. So, all the traffic will appear to be from the eero main unit, and there is no way for firewalla to look into the guest network and distinguish the devices.

I think the only proper guest network we've seen is the old apple airport, which uses VLAN as a guest network, which is just a perfect way to have control outside of apple.

I haven't had the courage to try and figure out how to set up my Gold Box to do the job of enabling a Guest Network via VLAN...but I suppose that would solve the invisibility problem with my eeros.

You can't solve the invisible eero guest network problem with VLAN, it is just how the eero works ... Eero creates a hidden network, and that is inside the eero main unit.

If you do want to control that, you can apply rules to the eero unit, that will be reflected to the eero internal guest network.

Right...I guess the issue is having *two* SSID's somehow, so you don't have to give out your *private* WiFi password.  Seems like it would require two AP's...or two sets of mesh AP's.

With a Firewalla Gold, are devices on an eero Guest network still protected by the firewall? It's just the outbound (and internal) monitoring that's prevented, right?
