100 mbps

Hi

firewalla suggests picking the red product if Mbps are under 100, I have to assume this is upload speed not download

Can someone clarify this?

  This is the maximum of download or upload speed.  For example, if your download is 1Gbit and upload is 35gbit (Comcast), you will get the Firewalla Gold.  Here your maximum of download speed is 1Gbit. 

  There are a few other factors that may also influence the picking process

  • the red has 512MB of ram, so it is pretty minimal in terms of expandability and supporting more powerful features.  The red doesn't have region blocks
  • the gold has 4GB of ram, and has a quad core intel CPU, which can do a lot more than just the basics.
