Migrating Firewalla Gold from simple to router mode
I have been running Gold in simple mode, plugged into a port on my WiFi router, which is connected to the ISP cable modem. I’m impressed by the features, so now I want to run the Gold in router mode, inserted between the cable modem and my router, which I will switch to bridge mode. In order to make this change as smooth as possible I have a few questions.
The DHCP server in my router will be disabled by the switch to bridge mode, and Gold’s DHCP server will replace it. For various reasons I would like the currently assigned IP addresses, most of which are statically configured, to still be configured after the migration. Is there any way to migrate my DHCP settings, including subnet range? Can I simply change the Gold configuration from simple to router and assume that existing device info, including IP address and name changes, will still be there? I want to avoid a factory reset of Gold and having to reconfigure everything.
