Why are there open sessions between Firewalla gold and aws?
In a quiet network of 1 node only logged in using RS232 console, I see 3 open ports to Amazon web services.
2 ports from FireApi and one from node. (just an lsof -i | grep amazon will show these).
Since initiation of updates is periodic and polled they don't need an open session. Since an update is not ongoing there is no need to retain open sockets with AWS.
Any 'next socket' on a modem can cause it to reach its limits resulting in throttling, dropped packets, or QoS limit impositions.
How do I close these unneeded connections?
