Firewalla Blocking Disney Plus+ On Roku

I have been unable to configure my Roku Ulta on my network without completely disabling monitoring. Some of my Roku apps load successfully but others (Disney+) fail to connect. I tried removing filtering adult filtering, ad blocking and DNS caching with no results. Has this problem been seen before?

  Been having this problem for about two weeks now...Disney+ PC login site wasn't working nor was my LG smart TV (getting a server-related error). ALL other streaming apps worked fine.

  Running out of alternatives (because I desperately want to watch Hamilton), I unplugged my (blue) FireWalla this morning.  Suddenly I could access both with NO problems.

  I'll try the troubleshooting you mention above, but it might be better if Disney+ -related problems were identified along with how to fix them...other well-known blocks should also be documented on this site.

  We need to identify first if the Firewalla is blocking Disney+ or not, then look at the rules/ or other services and see if they are blocking. 

  1. Let's start by first turning off monitoring on the device that's having a problem with Disney+, this will identify if firewalla features is blocking or not.  To do that, tap on devices->tap on the device that's viewing disney+->scroll to the bottom and turn off monitoring.  After, if you can, on your device (the one viewing Disney) turn off wifi and turn it back on, this flush DNS

  2. Wait a bit and then try Disney+ again.  If it is still blocked ... send help@firewalla.com a email

  3. If Disney+ is not blocked, then you will need to follow the guide to slowly turn off the services

  • adblocker
  • family mode
  • then look at rules and see if anything there is blocking

  Had problem with Disney+ connection when I wanted to watch "The Mandalorian" season 2 this morning.  
  
  Had to create 2 rules to allow access

  Allow:  demdex.net 

  Allow: disney-plus.net

   

  Also had an existing rule blocking bamgrid which is accessed for Disney related games on mobile devices which I removed.  

  Used information gathered in browser Developer tools to see which sites were necessary for the login page to correctly load.
