Fail2BAN running on Firewalla anyone ?

i will keep it short and simple to leave it as much as an open platform for debate here :

Pros & cons of running Fail2Ban on Firewalla ?
anyone sees the benefits of it or is it a complete and utter ridiculous line of thoughts ?

  The pages says Fail2ban scans log files (e.g. /var/log/apache/error_log)

  Are you planning to install apache on firewalla? if not, this tool will not work ...  Should you want to install a public web server on the Firewalla (red/blue/Gold), you shouldn't.  It will increase the attack surface of your security device.

  My fail2ban installation (on an Ubuntu server) protects mainly against SSH brute force attacks. Can you confirm that you have to have apache installed and running for fail2ban to work?
