    Update:
    The following link says the following exception will allow progress to be saved

    @@||s.youtube.com/api/stats/watchtime$image

    I added an 'allow' rule for s.youtube.com, but progresses saving is still not consistent with ad block turned on.

    This has been happening to me too and I didn’t realize that it was because of Firewalla!  Did anyone find a solution?

    My "allow" rule for s.youtube.com seems to be allowing progress to be saved now.

    ...and it's broken again. Some limited research says I also have to allow youtube.com. Fortunately, I don't need to block YouTube at all, so the allow rule is ok for me.

    @firewalla, could we have pattern matching for rules, so I can only allow the watchtime URL instead of the whole domain?

    Doesn't seem like allowing youtube.com and www.youtube.com works either. This is almost annoying enough to make me turn off ad block. 😡

    Try also adding: video-stats.l.google.com

    I am having success with YouTube history by including allow rules for both of the following:

    • s.youtube.com
    • video-stats.l.google.com

    I think those 2 allow rules worked; thanks Alak!

    Since I changed a bunch of filters and settings to try to fix it, I'll have to let this configuration settle in for a few days. Changes I make in Firewalla don't seem to take effect immediately.

    Glad it worked!  You might find the following website useful for building your whitelist.
