VPN server through to VPN Client

VPN client is, at the time of this writing, still in beta. I noticed the following: * when on the local network with the vpn client upon checking my IP address it showed the VPN service’s location as intended. * disabling the vpn client showed my actual location, as intended. * when connected to the vpn server outside the network the device shows up as offline and network flows are not being monitored. * connecting to the vpn server while the vpn client was enabled showed my actual location, is this intentional? Im not an overly technical networking person, which is why I really like Firewalla, is it the intention that if the VPN client is enabled for a device and that device is connected to the network through the VPN Server to have that device’s network flows monitored and to pass that traffics through the VPN? In my limited observations network flow hadn’t been checked and the location was not that of the vpn client.
