Which VPN modes does Firewalla Red currently support?

    As far as I know, Red couldn't act as a VPN server. It can only do as a client to a Firewalla VPN server or to any 3rd-party server that supports OpenVPN.

    Red can be a VPN server, it just can't be a server if you do site to site VPN.  If you are doing site to site VPN, one of the boxes must be a Blue.  (the other one can be a red).

    Oh I see. Thanks for correcting that. I thought red can only be a client.

    The Red can be a VPN server, such you can VPN back to it and protect your data when you are at Starbucks ... (or waiting for take out at Starbucks ...).  

    The Red can't function as a site to site VPN server, it can only be a client there.  

    So, if you have Red + Red, you can't get a site to site VPN going.  But if you have a Red + Blue, it will work.

    Got it! I have a blue and a red but haven't tried doing a site to site vpn. I will give that I try then. Thanks!
