Over 30% decrease in internet speed

I have noticed a significant decrease in internet speed with my Blue Firewalla installed. (111Mbps to 77Mbps). When I remove the Firewalla speed jumps back up to 111 Mbps range. I'm using a TP-Link C7 AC1750 router with latest firmware. Is this big of a speed hit normal? Thanks in advance.

  If you can, unplug firewalla from C7 and plug it into another port;  See if the speed changes.  We suspect something may be related to the port negotiating to one hundred megabits instead of gigabit. 

  Next, when you are testing, make sure you are relatively close to the router and there shouldn't be much back ground traffic.

  Thanks for the quick response. I moved the Firewalla to another port directly on the C7 router and ran speed test again. Same results ~ 77Mbps. It also seems to slow down all wireless traffic. i.e. I ran speed test from my Iphone with and without Firewalla installed with same results. ~ 111Mbps reduces down to ~ 77Mbps with Firewalla installed.

  Any other recommendations?

  @Gene, double-check if your network is clean, meaning when you are doing testing, there is no significant background traffic.  Also if possible test using a wired connection is recommended.
