Can Firewalla be attached via an Ethernet switch?

I am lacking an open port on my router. Is it possible to connect Firewalla indirectly to an Ethernet switch which is connected to the router? I realize some would suggest that I simply free up a router port with a switch. That is possible but less desirable in my physical environment.

  yes, you can attach firewalla to a switch, which is connected to a router.  Or even a switch to a switch to a router.

  Yes absolutely mine hangs off a Cisco 2960 switch
