Adding DD-WRT router addition
I am adding a spare Netgear Nighthawk router with DD-WRT installed to my network as it will then support VLANs. I am trying to separate my IOT devices on my network. Essentially I just want the ISP provided modem/router to become the gateway device and then my Netgear Nighthawk to become a managed switch that I add more configuration to i.e. VLANs. Where do I put the firewalla within this new setup and will it still work?

Firewalla can't see VLAN's (as of the time of this post, and likely will support some form of it later, please check the latest if u see this old post), so it needs to be connected to a switch port, and only monitor that particular VLAN.
Also connecting Firewalla to a trunkport will not work ... in case you are thinking about grabbing traffic that way.
