DDWRT Open VPN client setup

Hello everyone,

I am currently on my 2nd red Firewalla, one for home use and one for small business use.

I would like to have a DDWRT router on another location to connect as a client to my HQ office in order for the devices to be part of my LAN through VPN.

I have enabled the Open VPN client but I need help for the settings used by the Firewalla OPVNP config as it it not clear.

What are the settings for:

 

Checking my config file I found out the certificates which were pretty clear and also the cipher to be AES-128-CBC.

The rest are not as clear as the standard ovpn config shown in the picture.

Has someone tried this?

  Does this router only support user name / password authentication?  Firewalla OpenVPN uses certificates only ... so that's likely the problem you encounter.  You should be able just the ovpn file and supply the key password. 

  Anyway, we should have our own vpn client running soon ...

  Hi thanks for the reply.

  Unfortunately DD-WRT requires manual setup of the OVNP and has fields for user and password.

  Could you please provide some more info on the client? I will be able to switch the firewalla to client mode and connect to another FIrewalla running the ovpn server?

  How do you suggest to connect a remote site to my Firewalla LAN using VPN?
