Build CentOS 7

Hi Firewalla Community!

Thank you for open sourcing Firewalla, that is awesome!

I want to build Firewalla on my CentOS 7 box but I am not sure where to start. Can I please get some guidance?

  The current build system is a bit tricky, it is tied with ubuntu.  The full build may be broken as well, we do have a few people got the thing working, but some work is required.  

  Our team is just too busy making the Blue platform work, so it may be a while for us to make this thing fully working.

  I understand your team is focusing efforts on the upcoming release of the Blue platform. Is it possible to point me to what is Ubuntu-specific so I can begin porting it to CentOS 7?

  Any particular reason that you want to use CentOS?  There may be some package dependencies that may make the porting more difficult.

  CentOS 7 is my OS of choice, no reason other than that.

  Got it.  The problem we have with a different distribution is mainly with packaging, as well as a few things that related to the kernel.   So unlikely we will be supporting anything beyond the ubuntu family soon.
