Setting up new FTTP Fibre with Static but IP and Gateway are the same
So been running FW Gold for years, with two wans a leased line and ADSL backup. Have upgraded the ADSL to FTTP so changing the network connection.
If i use PPPoE with the supplied username/password it works fine. But i need a Static IP on this but if the supplier sets me up with one the details they supplied is literally the same IP for endpoint and gateway and firewalla won't take that.
They say this is how it should be done. Firewalla says no and internet seems a bit undecided.
So can I get some help here?
- Can i get a static IP with PPPoE
- Or can I set up a Static IP with same IP?
Huge thanks in advance
Paul

@Paul, Static IP with PPPoE is not supported at this time, and typically, ISPs shouldn't require the WAN IP address to be the same as the gateway IP. Could you please share the configuration details provided by your ISP with us at help@firewalla.com? Our engineers will review them and see how we can assist you.
