VPN & Antivirus?
Hello everyone!
Earlier this year, I purchased a FWGSE. I am very happy with the unit.
I am considering increasing my household security approach by incorporating a VPN and security software (such as Bitdefender, etc.).
Before I go purchasing things I already have with the FWGSE:
1. The VPN feature of the FWGSE, is that built-in, does not require any subscription or additional purchase, and how robust is it relative to the competition?
2. For a tech-heavy home (3 users, 40+ connected devices, 2.5Gb backbone, MOCA, 1Gbps ISP service, etc.) what would be the recommended security combination of software and/or hardware solutions?
Thank you in advance!

1. Please see this article on VPN https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004274633-Firewalla-VPN-Server
Firewalla VPN server is to protect when you are outside of your house. If you don't trust your ISP, you need a third-party VPN, this you need to look at https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/360023379953-VPN-Client
2.You definitely need to have endpoint secure (antivirus).

After a lot of testing in our lab, we now only use Microsoft Defender and the paid version of Malwarebytes (on our windows, machines). We run a Pi Hole on all our Gold and Purple FWs where we current have 1.56M entries in our block list.
All our devices are set up so when not on a home or lab WiFi connection (or a client connection where we have installed a FW device) our WireGuard app automatically VPN's back home. At home we currently run with 84 devices, have on average about 100GB of network traffic daily, and typically have between 100K-200K daily flows per our FW - we have hit 1M flows a few days.
