Ring Stickup Cameras stopped working (September 2024).

My Ring Stickup cameras stopped working a few days ago, and they have been working fine since they were installed over a year ago. I rebooted all Ring Cameras (pulled the batteries), rebooted the Firewalla Gold (1.62.2) and they still won't connect. The Ring Alarm Pro alarm system is fine and the Ring Doorbells also work fine. I enabled emergency access on each Ring Stickup camera, and boom they work again. Here is the thing.. I haven't changed anything except update the iOS app. Would that do it? Did Firewalla maybe add a ring service to block in their default blocked flows? Help...

  Firewalla, by default, does not block things. So the problem can be from DNS server settings, if you are using ipv6, if you have family protect on, or have any other rules that may be blocking. Can you please share some of this settings?

  I am not using ipv6, I have a group for my Ring/Sonos/Alexa devices with no rules applied, including family protect off. Enabling emergency access let the Ring Stickup Cams connect, and after disabling emergency access they are still connected 12 hours later.. I will update if they disconnect again.

  Can you share your DNS settings? If emergency access works, then it likely related to settings or ipv6.

  Here you go. My mistake, ipv6 is enabled, but it always has been.

  You blocked out the DNS server part, I assume you are not comfortable sharing that. I have created a ticket for you so you can work with our support.
