You should start with one firewalla unit (I think all of them are faster than 100mbit wireguard), and use that as server. If you want even more speed, then get another firewalla as a client.

Hello thank you for your reply,

So, in that configuration I have to login to another Global Protect VPN. 100 mbit is more than enough to be honest. So, my VPN network has to login to another VPN.  That's when I see the my upload speed get significantly reduced.

If you are login to another VPN server, the problem may not be firewalla side. (my reply was based firewalla VPN server).

May I know how are you connecting the two units? are both going through this 3rd party VPN? is this 3rd Party VPN promising you >100mbit?

    Hello,

It's a site to site network configuration. I travel with a portable router my client router that connects back to my home.  Again that works pretty good.  For work I have to use Global protect which is installed in my work laptop.  So, with my portable router I connect my work laptop to it.  My work laptop has Global Protect so it can connect to their network.

Sorry, I am a bit lost. Are you having firewalla talking to your global protect? or are you using a travel router?

Or you want to see if firewalla can talk to global protect and get higher speed?

I have two routers one of which stays in my home the other I travel with. My home router is the WireGuard server, the other router I travel with is the WireGuard client configured as a site to site network configuration. The speed that I get is 100 mbit down, 100 mbit down.  Which is okay, that's more than enough for my needs. All that works fine I can see my home devices when travel etc...

The problem that I am seeing is when I travel my work computer connects to my client router. My  work computer has Global Protect vpn installed.  So, when I connect my work computer to my client router I see my upload speed go down to 1 mbit. It's like a vpn with a vpn

What kind of VPN is your global protect running? Since you are running VPN inside VPN, you may need to configure (this is just my speculation) the MTU from the global protect VPN side to be a little less. (exactly how, you may need to ask your IT)

Global Protect is IPsec, I would probably get the same results with two FireWalla Gold Plus ? I can't configure any settings for the Global Protect vpn.  Even if I can get 5 m bit upload would be more than enough for me.
