The 192.168.x.x address range is considered a private address range. It is generally not routed to the internet side of a router. You will need to set up a route to your modem on the WAN interface of your Firewalla.

Tap “Routes” on the main FW page, select the target as your modem’s IP address. Select the device/group/LAN from which you want to access the modem and select your WAN interface. This should allow you to reach your modem.

    Hmm…

I just followed your suggestion but no luck. I think I'm going to attempt to connect my laptop directly to the modem to ensure the user interface is active.

So I can confirm, when I access the user interface directly from a laptop it will connect at 192.168.100.1 BUT, I must first set the NIC to an IP address on this subnet and set the gateway address to 192.168.100.1.

I wonder if that is the issue? I must somehow bridge the WAN side of the Firewalla to 192.168.100.1/24 and I’ve done this before years also when I was in Frontier but I cannot remember how to do this now.

So I deleted the route that was suggested since it didn’t seem to be helping and it occurred to me that maybe there is a rule that has 192.168.100.1 blocked by default; however, I have been unable to find anything so I created a rule allowing the IP address throughout the entire network. Still no luck.

Interestingly, I AM NOT able to ping 192.168.100.1 but I am still unable to connect to it via web browser.

@shawnspargo, by default, the traffic should have been forwarded to the WAN network. I feel the modem will only handle the traffic itself when the flow is coming from the subnet 192.168.0.1/24. Try ping 192.168.100.1 or curl from your Gold Plus directly.

Found the problem. It’s with the Arris S33 model of modem. I swapped it out today for a Netgear CM3000 and BAMM, everything worked first try. No routes, no NAT sources, no rules, etc. It just worked.

Thanks to the kind folks who helped.
