Xfinity xFi XB7 & Firewalla Purple SE

I recently changed out my Red for a Purple SE.

The Red was working great with the iPhone App, the Purple not so much.

The xFi was/is in router mode (not bridge as documentation suggests).

I grabbed one of the non-gig ports (previously the way red was working) and plugged it into the WAN port on purple SE.

Plugged the LAN port of purple into an 8 port enet switch (previously the way red was working).

I can only see devices that are hardwired into the switch- none of the devices connected to xFi access point. (previously with red I saw them all)

What's going on?

  Is your purple SE running in router or bridge mode? Was your red running in simple or DHCP mode?

  When the purple is in router or bridge mode, it will only see devices on the LAN side, it can't see your WAN side devices.

  Yes- the red was in simple mode.

  I switched purple to "Legacy" and the iPhone app is back reporting

  I couldn't find the documentation that compares/contrasts the various modes for Purple.

  Can you help there?

  The best mode is always router mode, it has the most number of features enabled.
