ios18 beta devices always appear with "Detected mac randomization"
Hello.
I'm not sure if this is a Firewalla issue or Apple here, but in iOS18, there is this new option "Rotate Wifi Address" which replaces the private mac address option.
However, even when deactivating it, Firewalla always reports these devices as using MAC randomization. I could see that as being an issue when using guest networks with portals that would not allow MAC randomization.
Is that something you are aware of ? Maybe I missed some setup in iOS18...

We can't comment on Apple's beta's, since they do change pretty often.
My understanding is, at home, you are at a trusted network, and you really don't need to rotate MAC or generate private MAC's. (This is true for enterprise as well).
Do you see an option to disable Rotate WiFi/Randomize WiFi?

I have 3 devices on iOS 18 and a MacBook on 15.0. All devices have Mac address randomization turned off.
* 2 iPhones on 18.1 (22B5007p) - works fine
* Macbook on 15.0 (24A5298h) - works fine
* iPad on 18.0 (22A5316k) - appears as randomized in Firewalla
I agree that it feels like it's an Apple bug -- maybe an issue with the early 18.0 builds.
