When looking at the logs on a device I'm curious. The time stamp on the logs; is that tied to the local time zone or perhaps UTC? The stamps on the logs don't seem to match the reported events.

  Are you talking about the logs /var/log/syslog? or the network flows? system logs should be your local time, and app time is app time based on your local timezone. If you have devices (phones) in different timezones, your system (firewalla box) timezone may change
