Upgrading from lower unit to Gold SE
The only guide I can find on the site for upgrading to Gold from a different model says the software has a feature to transfer configuration that doesn't work when the source and destination of the upgrade have a different number of ports.
That would be my case, I am running a blue plus and I have a Gold SE I'd like to plug in.
The article also says "there are a number of methods," but it only lists the one that it says won't work for me.
So ... what CAN I do? Surely I don't have to lose ALL of my configurations, right? Specifically the countries and ports I'm blocking, or the machine+ports I've poked holes for (I have a little personal server)?
Also: FYI I would like to not have to fuss with my dusty old modem+wifi combo for now, baby steps, so I probably will need to keep using Simple mode and upgrade to the newer router mode once I get the basics working. I could be talked out of this if it's going to cause me problems, it's my own ignorance I'm cautious about.
