Questions about SSDP/mDNS

Hello, I accidentally sent a support ticket in for questions I meant for the community, so apologies to Firewalla team in advance. I am a perspective buyer of a firewalla gold system. I had 2 questions related to the SSDP/mDNS relays:

- When SSDP/mDNS relay is enabled on a single LAN, do all LANs receive the broadcasts? Or just ones that have it enabled? The user guide seems to imply the former, I just want clarity.

- How do rules interact with this feature? For example, if I have a VLAN that has a bi-directional block all local network traffic rule applied, does it still receive the multi cast traffic? Or is it blocked by the rule?

  1. All LAN should receive the broadcast. (the relay is a broadcast)

  2. All LAN will be able to discover your device, if you block traffic, then nothing can interact with the discovered device.
