Apps blocked randomnly?
Firewalla Gold Plus router mode with connected deco in AP mode. ISP is Starlink. Running for several months now, no recent changes to anything on the network.
I noticed my Fittrack app wasn't loading anymore within the last week (I only use it once a week on sundays). I didn't think much of it and skipped logging anything in the app for the week. Then I noticed Temptest app (local weather monitor) wasn't loading either. The apps just get stuck at loading.
Today Fit track and temptest still don't work, and I mentioned it to my wife who named off handful of other apps that also are no longer working, Depop, mercari, Gmail, outlook, etc.
The websites for each app work as expected on computers under the same network, and same rules but not mobile.
The strange part, if I put "emergency access" onto one of the phones in question, the apps still will not load, and I don't see any pertinent traffic logging on the firewalla app for the device that would suggest a common domain being blocked.
In order to get the apps to load, I have to turn off wifi on the phone.
Deco is up to date, and no recent updates were even done.
Firewalla was on beta mode and received the recent update but i rolled back to test if the apps work and still no change.
Thoughts??

"Safe Search" is usually used on kids ... it may block a lot more search results, are you sure you want to turn it on for everyone?
Family mode will block VPN (this is what you see)
What you can do is turn off family mode, safe search, then turn off and on wifi on your phone to reset DNS cache, then try everything again

I'm experiencing the exact same issue with Firewalla Gold Plus router mode with connected deco in AP mode.
On android (phone and tablet) Strava fails to load the home screen, Rouvy (cycling app) takes ages to display the landing page. Everything works fine using a vpn on the Android device; apps work fine when connecting the main deco unit directly to the ISP. It's only when the firewalla unit is between the ISP and the deco unit the issues occur.
Putting the Deco unit into Router Mode does solve the issue. Reverting back to AP mode and the problem returns.

@Gary, follow this and see if you can locate the issue https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/360050255274-What-to-do-when-you-can-t-access-certain-websites
Next, also make sure you are using the default DNS settings, possible list out all the rules you have applied?
