PS4 MAC address randomisation - is this possible?

Our son has a PS4. After a few battles controlling access (chores for network time) I thought I had it under control. However the PS4 is now in quarantine on the app, but he still has network access.

He's not using another network because I can see the traffic on the app, and if I kill the AP, he stops gaming.

The app is reporting that the playstation may have MAC address randomisation, but PS4s cannot do this as the MAC address is hardcoded to the network card.

Any and all ideas welcome!  :-)

  is your PS4 connecting via wifi or ethernet? or both? he may be using another interface

  Only wifi. He doesn' have access to any ethernet ports.

  Do you have a wifi extender? Sometimes if you access the network from them, that device will clone the MAC.

  Good idea, but no extender. What's weirder is that even though the PS4 is now in quarantine, it's still able to go online.
