Xfinity XB8 Bridge Mode Issue

I am have an issue with my modem (which is the same as Xfinity XB8). When I switch to bridge mode the througput drops from 800mbps to 300mbps. Anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to troubleshoot? Currently I am running with bridge mode and wifi disabled to get the full throughput, but port forwarding cannot be setup and I cannot access anything within the network.

  I had the exact same problem, likely related to XB8, my solution was just to get my own modem. 

  I am curious, you said disabling wifi fixed the issue? it should be disabled automatically when in bridge mode right?

  I get expected throughput with bridge mode disabled. I turned off wifi on the xb8 because I have mesh network behind firewalla. This approximates bridge mode. Also I am actually still able to setup port forwarding on the XB8 with wifi off (contrary to what I stated above).

  Got it, if you are renting their modem, should ask them for a replacement. In theory bridge mode should be much faster than router mode.
